Finally got the road bike on the road about a month or so ago, and am only now getting around to riding it into work. Rode in on Wed and Thu and shaved about a minute off my original Mtn. First bike commute of the year and certainly in a long while. 9.03 miles in 38:00 minutes, driveway to security, on the mountain bike. That's pretty much a 50% increase in my commute time (generally somewhere in the 20 to 25 minute range by car ( Read more... )

Well looky there..."green" energy sources require 5 to 100 times the amount of land that fossil sources such as coal require. Not saying that we shouldn't pursue these options, but they're certainly not a silver bullet ( Read more... )
