I thought I was up to 4K words for NaNo. I'm actually at a bit over half that. That's somewhat depressing. Then again, I was never a good estimator. I wore my coat today by choice. It's not even cold out, really. I'm just feeling exceptionally chilled. I could not get warm this morning, no matter what I did. I'm still all prickly and shivery. Everything went well with Mom's surgery. She was complaining about nothing being on TV and that she didn't like apple juice this morning, so she's on the mend. She's still hooked up to a variety of things, and can't really eat, but the recovery will be slow going on all fronts ( Read more... )

They definitely found more blockage in Mom's heart. She is having bypass surgery on Monday morning. She will be in the hospital for about a week, give or take.

I've been given power of attourney again, even though she's married now.

At some moments I want to cry, and at other moments I just feel numb. Right now, it's the latter.

Argh.

Looking back, Tuesday and Wednesday were pretty much the exact same days. Cathedral work was confusing, and store work was frustrating. I got out at the same time at the Cathedral, made my way down south, and suffered through seven hours of idiot people, making the same amount of money as day crew in less time.
