להיות ולהיות
בספרדית, שפה שאני מאד אוהבת את המבנה שלה באופן כללי, יש חלוקה נפלאה בין שתי צורות של הפועל "להיות" - estar ו-ser.
הראשונה, estar, משמעה להיות באופן מצבי, זמני. estoy hambrienta - אני רעבה; estoy cansada - אני עייפה; estoy contenta - אני שמחה.
השנייה, ser, משמעה להיות באופן תכונתי, קבוע. soy hambrienta - אני אדם רעבתני; soy cansada - אני אדם עייף; soy contenta - אני אדם שמח.
חסרה לי צורת הפועל הזאת, ההבחנה בין המהות התכונתית הקבועה לבין האפיון המצבי החולף. אם כי, אולי טוב שהיא לא קיימת בעברית. זה מקל עלינו לא להתחייב לכיוון זה או זה, ולא להכיר בדבר חוזר כבתכונה.
