Homeschooling/Kid journal

I've decided to start recording my thoughts and experiences regarding homeschooling the kids. I realized that I'm struggling to remember what I did with Werner when he was the same age as Elisabeth... and it is annoying me! Plus, as Werner is now being exposed to a "normal" curriculum in the form of cyberschool, I'm getting all sorts of interesting insights as to why many kids struggle in school and why some homeschoolers claim that even cyberschooling slaughters their children's love of learning. (I'm actually going to stay with cyberschooling though, I'm just going to use the material as I see fit and only turn in the tests. If they actually made me TEACH using their material, we'd have left the program within the first week). Anyway, I'm mainly keeping this as a personal record that I can refer back to in the future and that maybe my kids will get some ideas from when they're grown. I definitely see how all these kid/education type posts could be seen as cruel and unusual punishment to the journals of many of my happily childless friends; alternately, there are some folks on my lj whose children are/will be going to traditional school, and I don't want to worry about "editing" my posts so as not to be worrisome to people who have chosen an alternate route. Basically, homeschooling/parenting is my main "job" and I just want a journal to record that aspect of my life and remember what worked well and what didn't. So, if anybody wants on it, let me know... otherwise I'll just keep it private.
