Since my husband is bragging, I might as well too.

my husband's post

I'm actually pretty thrilled about this. Not only were there some specific "praising of the editing" which NEVER happens (reviewers only mention editing to bitch), but the book overall received a really great review. Neumenon was probably the first book that became my "baby." I think it was because I was rather worried that the poor game would get panned (I liken it to feeling attached to the runt of the litter). It is not your typical role-playing game, to say the least. I loved the concept, but the fact that the developer had a ton of different writers working on the project made editing challenging to say the least... so I rewrote a lot of it. Those of you in the industry know what I mean. When there is more red than black on a page, I can't help but feel pretty invested in what reviewers think of what was written. The fact that "Nowhere" was described as creeping out the review writer gives me waves of joy! I must have read through that section six times. I remember reading it outloud to relatives (very, very bored relatives like my Mom) just to see what they thought. So I'm happy. Very, very happy. Oh, and though none of you actually know the guy, Lee Foster (Abstract Nova) SO ROCKS. He is creative, complimentary of his writers/editors, and actually pays on time. What more could I ask for... oh yeah, I remember. More frequent books. *Sigh* But I AM about to be editing again. It's a super secret project (because, aren't all projects?) that will be released at GenCon. Werner is writing a chunk of it, so I expect it be wonderful. :)
