Today I found out I'm not deploying to Iraq with the unit. Basically it boils down to the fact that Recon doesn't rate to retain 0311's (riflemen) who aren't actively training to become 0321's (reconnaissancemen) and some folks with heavy collars got in a tizzy over it.
