I've seen many movies in my absence. I will begin to review them here. (lol)
How To Train Your Dragon in 3D
In a word, awesome. The graphics were beautiful, the 3D, amazing, and the music was spot on. It fit into every scene like a leaf fits on a tree. The characters were great, the voice acting was awesome, and we loved the story! I could see a lot of myself in the main character, Hiccup. A beautiful story/movie, and I'd recommend it to anyone who isn't "too grown up" to watch a cartoon movie. I give it 5 stars! lol
The Expendables
A horrible HORRIBLY stupid movie. An excessively cheesey action flick; the kind Tony normally likes... but hates this one. We both did. We were criticizing it less than 30 minutes into it. The acting was bad on almost everyones part, the story was very crappy, and way too many big names that were pointless in the movie. I could just imagine Sylvester Stallone thinking something like this while writing the movie "How can I make myself look MORE awesome than Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Stone Cold, and (whoever else was there I'm missing) put together??? AND I need to put in a lot of big names, too, to draw the crowds! Yeah, yeah, yeah, thats brilliant!" Ugh, I was rolling my eyes the entire time. We should have walked out on it, seriously. DO NOT WATCH! I give this movie NO stars! :D
The Last Airbender
I HATED this movie! Every time someone pronounced a name wrong, I corrected them! That was how irritating it was to me. The acting was crappy, Zuko was UGLY, EVERYONE had the wrong skin color, and everything was pretty much way less awesome than the cartoon show. >_> But in the words of SOKKA (not Soaka), "at least the effects were decent." Even in that, it could have been better. The plot, the characters, the acting, pretty much everything stank worse than a rotten egg concealed in a plastic bag! All the actors were trying WAY too hard. And what was up with Aang going all Avatar State at the end??? And WHAT HAPPENED to my epic ending, with the giant awesome blue fish of universe juice and doom?! (you may have to watch Kung Fu Panda, if you haven't already, to get that) PLEASE, M. Night Shamalamadingdong (<--thats what Tony likes to say), JUST no! NO!!! I give this movie a negative 2 star rating.
Iron Man II
I can't remember much, on account it's been a while since I've seen it, but Tony and I liked it pretty good. :D The effects were really awesome, and the acting was great. The plot was pretty good, but not quite as epic as the first one, but pretty close. I can't remember the score, but it must not have been so bad that it stuck out in my mind. lol I give this movie a 4 star rating! :D
RED
This movie was everything I had HOPED The Expendables would be. Hilariously funny, yet action packed and clever. The acting was perfect, the comedy again I say hilarious, and the action was amazing! And SO clever! I'm really not sure what all else to say, but it is for sure worth a look! Tony gives this movie a 4 star rating, but I give it a 5, 'cause I'm feeling generous. ;)
Megamind 3D
Clever, hilarious, cute, touching, and at times, sweet. I loved the animation, the characters, the punch lines, the music, the action, AND the surprising twists! There comes a one that you don't expect, but it turns out to be surprisingly pleasant. It was Will Farrell's only good movie, and he played the part like a dream. An all around good movie I'd suggest to everyone who isn't too grown up to sit through it. You'll get your lolz and your sweet moments, too. I give this movie a 5 star rating! 8D
