Seth looked up from Luka’s golden eyes when a knock came at the door. He sighed, preparing himself for sharing his baby with someone other than Jasper, Carlisle and Esme. “Come in.” The door opened, Leah and Lilliana looked at him questioningly. Seth rolled his eyes at them and jerked his head for them to come in. Leah sat on one side of him and Lilliana sat on the other.
Lilliana rested her head on Seth’s shoulder. Nearly thirty-five years old and Seth was still her favorite uncle. She had been so worried about him during his pregnancy. “I missed you Uncle Seth.”
Seth turned and pressed a kiss to her forehead. “I missed you too Lilli.”
“So this is my long awaited nephew,” Leah stated looking down at the baby in Seth’s arms.
Seth smiled. “Yes ladies, this is Luka Whitlock. Luka, meet your Aunt Leah and cousin Lilliana.”
Luka opened his eyes and looked up at Seth, a little smile quirking the edge of his lips. Lilliana gasped and his golden gaze went to her. Of course he couldn’t quite focus on her yet but he could hear her. “His eyes are so beautiful!”
“We think it’s because of the blood I had to drink and that he still drinks, mixed with milk.”
“May I hold him Seth?” Leah asked.
Seth bit his lip but slowly nodded and turned to her. Luka wiggled a bit as he was transferred but then settled as Leah held him in her arms. Leah stared down at him, tears filling her eyes. “Oh Luka, it’s so good to finally meet you.”
“Uncle Seth?”
Seth looked back at Lilliana. “Yeah Lilli?”
“When do we get to start spoiling him?”
Seth laughed and pulled her against his side in a tight hug. “Anytime you want Lilli.”
