These past few days Semra has been a potty training rockstar.  I really couldn't ask for things to be going better.  Yesterday i took Semra to the Mariners game along with my Dad and some family friends from Hawaii.  I would say that I watched the game but i didn't.  Rather i spent 3 hours entertaining my toddler, walking around the concourse, and running up and down various ramps and stairs.  I won't say that it wasn't fun, it really was, i love just BEING at ( Read more... )

I think we've already pretty firmly established that i think my kid is damn near the cutest thing on the planet.  Take that with a grain of salt, if you will, since i'm pretty sure that ALL parents think their kid is cuter than just about any other.  Anyway, i thought i'd regale you with some of the cuteness that i come face to face with every day.

As Semra becomes more capable of having and understanding conversation i find that lies spill from my mouth like water from a fountain.  Tiny, harmless little lies that are designed less to keep the truth from her but more to ease the way for household harmony.  But really, childhood is peppered with lies from parents and i don't know if this is ( Read more... )
