Work went well.  Markus heads up the "team".  I feel quite *average* sitting with these very clever people.   I sat eating at lunch thinking *what an eclectic bunch* - Markus (German), Francesca (Italian), Milly (Tiwanese), Linus (Malaysian) and myself (Zimbabwean)... not an Australian born or real Australian accent amongst us!!

Sydney really is a messy dump!!  Even the locals look 'dirty'.   Not really like me to criticize Sydney, I really do like it here, but the road-works along Oxford St are a catastrophe, the air in Central Station is thick with humidity and sweat, the train tracks are laced with waste and rubbish.  The air is not crisp and clean like Perth, and there ( Read more... )

Finally on the train to Wollongong.  I suppose it's just like me to forget how muggy Sydney is.  The 'layers' of jumpers have been peeled off one by one, and my once almost empty travel bag has become heavy with extra books and discarded clothing.
