Rory moved her computer to her bed and curled up on her desk with a cup of coffee so she could look out the window. She smiled, glad to be indoors where it was not freezing like a freezing thing.
It had been a long week, though in a pleasant way. She'd actually been able to
help Luke, which made her feel great. Even the upsetting
news about Anakin's mother, or
Vader acting almost
human hadn't been enough to dampen her spirits.
There had been her
birthday party, and she'd certainly been
surprised. Then there was the cabin reunion, where she'd caught up with
Alanna, ogled invented things with
Alec, made phone calls with
Jaye, taught
Aeryn about pie, and kept warm with
Bridge And thinking of that,
things with Bridge were progressing nicely. Even if everything else was a bit...messy, from
Jake now looking like Jess, to what
Aeryn had mentioned about John's mother.
She sighed and snugged her legs closer to herself, and picked up her brand-new book of Shakespearean sonnets.
