Room 213 [evening]
Since she wasn't feeling up to it, Rory decided to forfeit trick-or-treating (she was too old, anyway) and instead stay in and read and watch DVDs on her laptop.
However, her evening wasn't as simple and quiet as planned, for a little while after she settled onto her bed, sometime wee rolled through her door, making growly noises.
Rory stared at the pumpkin, wondering what she was supposed to do about this. "Hi?"
The pumpkin growled in a very ominous way.
Sadly, however, the gourd was destined for failure in its quest to frighten Rory, because there was someone else in the room who was ready to rush to her rescue.
Vladdie flew over from his basket in the corner, and yipped curiously at the pumpkin.
It growled back.
Vladdie growled right back at it. He was Very Threatening and Ferocious.
The pumpkin wasn't exactly intimidated.
Vladdie batted at it.
The pumpkin rolled around and growled.
Rory, upon realizing that Vladdie may actually have made a friend, reached one long leg over and kicked the door shut, then went back to reading.
[Okay, yes, it's a totally gratuitous vampire puppy vs. vampire pumpkin post, but it's absolutely open if anyone wants to come by!]
