and the countdown slaps me in the face - 8 days of classes left. so little time for redemption!
but let's be honest, who hasn't gone nutty with the bursting desire for summer vacation?
my first 1/4 of college is soon to be another page in the history of my microscopically meaningful life.
i have quasi-successfully completed 1/3 of the semesters i intend to spend at LC, and only one semester of dorm life remains.

speaking of, i'm munching a freshly baked cookie thanks to my roommie. granted she's loony, but i get the inkling i'll miss her a bit.

so, i slept 3.5 hours last night, and despite the consumption of drugs under whose influence i apparently should not operate heavy machinery, i am wide o'wake. sometimes this year i longed for my insomnia, though. fucks you up when you try to function properly in step with the rest of society, but the truth remains that nights are where it's at.

also, i would just like to state that i shared an intimate experience with phil zimbardo on saturday afternoon at the annual western psychological association conference. and since i've been rambling about it since then, i won't bother with details - the boast is sufficient.

on another note, i have scrubbed like a maniac and still cannot remove the body paint i gained from running the annual naked mile yesterday. ah well, it's simply a relic of an exhilarating experience. i was trying this thing called "self-restraint," and i wasn't going to partake in the merriment for once since i've been sick (from prancing in the rain and staying up all night, who would have guessed?). but apparently college has weakened my iron will that i fancy i once possessed, because i most certainly jogged around in the nude in the rain with the crowd. i kept my chucks and socks on though, so that i wouldn't completely freeze to death. turns out i was wearing one cow sock and one flamingo sock yesterday, so i think i basically ended up looking pretty damn silly and feeling pretty damn kinky. but man i love LCers - everyone cheered for us as we ran around campus and through the library. what a fabulously crazy place to be.
