did you know i am an avid postcard collector?
my little one (ains) just left.
she's a fun one - always up for an adventure.
could you imagine the punchy fun that would be our lives if she joined in this great green bubble? no, you cannot. it is unfathomable.
we had quite the weekend. one acts, an experience including crew and theatre people in the same social setting (bizarre), thai food, powell's, coffee, going to washington for the first time in our young lives, getting lost, hiking around on rainforesty cliffs in the pouring rain, climbing waterfalls, sundaes and tea at rimsky korsa.
i also became quite utterly enthused about being an ra in forest next fall. looks like the folks i'm working with are plumb decent.
of course, now i have a cold. oh, immune system, where art thou? i would miss you, if i could remember what it is like for you to function correctly.
so, the resounding chorus on this campus and those around the globe at this point in the semester is banging in my ear drums, and i'm singing more than backup (that was the weirdest metaphor ever... what the hell.)
this chorus goes as such: i should have done more homework. why am i not doing more work? why was i not productive? ...i have to do how much more?
hmm. well, then. maybe tomorrow?
and, as dear old ben folds proclaims: i think i'll get it done yesterday.
