Three years passed and I think I’m dating you. Three years passed and I’ve seen you leaving with your backpack and coming back, sometimes with a dingy face covered with facial hair. Three years passed and I’m waiting, I’m still waiting.
But you couldn’t say the reason for loving me. Couldn’t say which expressions of mine you admire the most. Couldn’t say under what circumstances I’m able to intrigue your heart. Couldn’t say the reason you left.
Counting the number of flights you had, I read out the places you’ve been from the air tickets hanging on the wardrobe’s door. Opening the door, the light shines into the souvenirs you brought back. Paris, Beijing, California, Turkey, the list goes on. Is it funny, if I’m jealous of them?
Reluctantly telling me that those letters you’ve sent to me were the reason you left; you left me, was the significance of your journey.
Donghae, you might laugh at me but I’ve found an irony between us. You might not know, still, if I am the reason for your travelling, then you would be my reason for travelling, too.
