I've been trying very hard during the whole wedding planning process to avoid being a "bridezilla" and not let things get to me. However, I am no really getting peeved. Mike and I have let our date be public knowledge at LEAST since October when we got officially engaged, but some people have known since last spring. Anyway, some friends of ours (the girl is one of my bridesmaids) got officially engaged on New Year's Eve and they have recently announced that they are getting married on September 4 of this year, that is 2 weeks before our wedding. Irksome. It gets more annoying! One of Mike's cousins proposed to his girlfriend over Valentine's Day weekend. That's fine, congratulations to them. They JUST announced that, not only are they getting married this year, they are getting married in Canada (so we wouldn't be able to go for financial reasons unless I magically get a full time well paying job, it would have been a stretch even if they got married in Seattle where they live), AND they are getting married the week before us. Yes, they are getting married on September 11.
Is it totally unreasonable for me to be peeved about this?
Also, for those who do not already know, I am the proud momma of a new little black kitten! I now have the very first cat to be "mine." I have lived with 3 different cats, and while 1 of them sort of "claimed" me, none of them were "mine." I have a cute little furball that is my own. His name is Koli, which is an "Old Norse byname for a dark-complexioned person, derived from the element kol, meaning "black, coal."" Yes, I searched baby name websites to help me name my kitten.
Alright, I believe that is all.
