So. Stephen Colbert and Jon Stewart are both much more funny when they have writers. That's all I have to say about that.

Remus is in Paris, treating himself to dinner and an hour's uninterrupted time with one of Dumbledore's books. The restaurant isn't a fancy one, but the food is both good and filling, probably because it's a hot spot for students from the nearby Sorbonne. The book is old, a slim volume of children's stories that's been in Dumbledore's collection since before the man went to Hogwarts and out of print for very nearly as long; Remus feels honoured that he's been allowed to travel with it ( ... )

'Political Evolution of Medieval Europe' is Clark's least favourite class. The professor is stuck up and abrasive, and the TA reminds Clark of Lex. He has the same way of hiding his smiles, as if no one else could possibly understand the joke, and the same air of elegant boredom, though Evan Pierce seems to prefer baggy sweaters to Tessori suits. During the first of Professor Ryan's mandatory study sessions -- led by Evan, since the professor himself is far too busy to attend -- the resemblance is even more pronounced. Evan lectures with the same ease and interest in minute detail that made Lex so interesting to listen to, and by the time he dismisses them, Clark is ready to tear his hair out with frustration.

Of course, now I want to know what Methos is looking up, and why the wards didn't trip (or how he made it so they wouldn't -- is M a Watcher at this point? Are the two kinds of Watchers related? Is the ink the tattoo a charm?) and what happens next :-)
