In other news, I'm still really really irritated by the whole John Kerry thing. It's not really a big deal, but it was rude. Rude, rude, rude -- and tacky to boot. I realize that it may not look like it, but there is a code of ethics to professional politics, and it includes not fucking over a former running mate. Especially one who contributed as much to your campaign as Edwards did to Kerry's.
Okay. I'm done bitching.
Seriously, though, people -- I need a distraction. I've been ordered to take the next 24 hours for downtime, and I need something to keep me occupied because otherwise I'm just going to stare out the hotel window and frustrate myself trying to figure out why there is no CSPAN2 on this damned television.
So here's the deal. You guys give me two characters I'm familiar with, and I'll tell you how they met. Crossovers are encouraged; if you absolutely must pick two from the same fandom, I'll give you an AU. If I don't know the characters, you get to pick two more. Save me from my boredom, people! I get in trouble when I'm bored! (although admittedly all I'm likely to do on this occasion is acquaint myself with the contents of the mini-bar.)
