I attended a concert at RFK Stadium in Washington D.C. on August 15, 1966 (altho it was still called DC Stadium at that time). Our new album, A Lost Cause Christmas, is out in cd form - we have it for sale, and we'll be at 12th Night.

I'll let people know when the downloadable version becomes available - we make more money off the solid cd, but I know that's not everyone's choice, so as long as you buy it, we're cool.  :P

Well, this is the first year we've ever been able to go to Pennsic for two whole weeks.  And we've been packing.

We leave Sunday; tomorrow we're going to do our traditional pre-Pennsic last-minute shopping and a movie, and Saturday will be spent packing.

The concert on Satuday was lovely, despite some technical difficulties at the beginning, wherein Elton John's piano pedal kept sticking, which resulted in three roadies - and at one point, Billy Joel, to the approval of the crowd - under the piano trying to fix it.  So, I got the impression that they switched the program around a little, and Joel ( Read more... )

I've been told in no uncertain terms by a couple of band mates that now I'm "famous", I need to pimp our cd, Lookin' For an E.   We recorded it a couple of years ago, and I'm pretty pleased with it (Bob and I did most of the mixing).  I wrote three of the songs - Ring on Your Finger, Light in the Window, and Agincourt, and arranged two more ( Read more... )

I do.  I've been practicing a new mandolin part for a song, and my soft little fingers have lost their playing callouses.  I have two neat (and exquisitely sensitive) oval blisters on my left index and middle fingers.

If I keep playing, they will harden (they're deep; they won't burst).
