I just wanted to note the date:  15 years ago today, Bob agreed to marry me at the Annapolis Courthouse.

Feels like only yesterday.  And like we've been together forever at the same time.

Busy, busy, busy.  When am I ever not?

I'm writing for work, so writing here is, unfortunately, taking second place.  I have had a hundred subjects roaming through my head, and no energy to write about them.

I got nothing but wonderful gifts this year - from Bob, of course, because he's never given me a bad gift, but also from friends, who have given us beautiful and/or useful gifts that will be much enjoyed.  In fact, it's been years since I've gotten a really awful gift that simply couldn't be turned around somehow.

I am a huge fan of Kate Harding's Shapely Prose (have I added it to my links list yet? Well, I'm going to), and I heartily endorse her blog for anyone struggling with loving acceptance of their bodies. I usually read it to keep up on size issues, but occasionally the comments are pure comedy gold:

It made me cry.  Happy tears, but tears all the same.  Animals, whether you like them as pets or not, should be treated with care and dignity.
