I have to write a paper for my anthropology class comparing the religions of the Bajorans, humans, and Klingons on Deep Space 9. I know nothing about Star Trek, so this isn't as low stress an assignment as it sounds. Is anyone here a fan? Any books to recommend or specific episodes to watch

Klingons worshipped violence, I guess. It was ritualistic.
Bajorans had an elaborate religion about prophecies and wormholes and crap, and the religion had become perverted from what it used to be. He says the last season would be the one to watch, as one of the guys who worked on Deep Space Nine became a prophet. You'll want to pay attention to stuff with Sisko.
Klingon Language Institute has audio for Klingon.
The Fall of Terok Nor is a Deep Space Nine book that mentions the Bajoran religion a lot.
Wiki List of Deep Space Nine episodes, you'll probably want to check out season 4 for Klingon stuff. My husband said to watch The Reckoning in season 6 and Soldiers of the Empire in season 5.

Will you please ask your husband if he knows anything about Bajorans and divorce? I've found some info on it, but I'm not sure if there are any specific episodes that mention it.

Ok, having Googled it up, I see that Bajorans divorce in a ceremony called the Rite of Separation. This page talks about specific episodes that feature it: Star Trek Wiki Page
