She hadn't been ready to just sit back and let the mysteries of the ship reveal themselves, so some exploration was in order. Thankfully things like reconnaissance were right up their alley. The structure of the ship as a whole was a mystery to them and that, alone, was cause for a look around it. The technology on board was something else, and Carolina was eager to look around ( ... )

North hadn't stopped to look in his own room - given how much both of them were looking forward to exploring the ship and finding out what exactly was going on here, he'd pretty much figured it could wait until later. It wasn't like he was expecting to find anything in there, anyway. All of his personal belongings that he'd supposedly been sent with aside from his armor had appeared to be in the small locker down in the medbay. (That still irritated him, because while he had his shotgun, the fact that he couldn't find his rifle was more than just a little unsettling. It was his primary weapon. How could he find himself here without it ( ... )

She was still glad her primary weapon had come along for the ride- not to mention her grappling hook. With North's rifle she had assumed that, much like their armor, it had just been too big for them to put in their lockers. It wasn't a small weapon by any means even if it would have still fit in the locker, she imagined.

Any disappointment he might have felt went unnoticed by Carolina, who simply nodded and followed along as indicated. Her eyes were everywhere, even if she'd already been down this hallway before, but he had her ear. "I think going anywhere we're going to learn something at this point." She pointed out, her mouth curling slightly. As unsettling as this situation was, she couldn't deny she liked the idea of exploring uncharted territory. It was always exciting to see new things.

"Looking around at other posts on the network, I haven't seen anything that would interest us. If people are looking around, they're not saying much." Or they were just more hung up on smaller details. Either was possible.

To say that North was .. disappointed that he had yet to come across his rifle would have been putting it pretty mildly. (Not that he would have let as much slip to the surface of his expression as he glanced once more down the hallway. It was just a weapon, he was sure someone would feel the need to tell him. What that someone wouldn't have known, of course, was that that particular weapon was more of an extension of self than anything else. He felt strange without it. Naked, almost ( ... )
