North hadn't stopped to look in his own room - given how much both of them were looking forward to exploring the ship and finding out what exactly was going on here, he'd pretty much figured it could wait until later. It wasn't like he was expecting to find anything in there, anyway. All of his personal belongings that he'd supposedly been sent with aside from his armor had appeared to be in the small locker down in the medbay. (That still irritated him, because while he had his shotgun, the fact that he couldn't find his rifle was more than just a little unsettling. It was his primary weapon. How could he find himself here without it?)

Still, he was carrying his only weapon at his side with a fair amount of caution; as it had already been said before, their initial arrival hadn't been all that exciting, but it never hurt to be ready for anything. They hadn't gotten where they were in the Project without being careful and conscious of their surroundings.

When Carolina came back out the door, he was almost disappointed to see that she'd put her hair back up in a ponytail. Of course, it was her and she was going to do with it what she pleased, but that wasn't going to keep him from thinking that it looked nice when she wore it down, however impractical it was. Especially when she was in her armor. But he nodded at her question, offering his own small smile in return and shifting a bit from side to side. "Ready as I'll ever be," he replied with a small chuckle, stepping away from the wall and motioning for her to follow.

"Any idea where you want to start first? Or are we just playing this by ear for now?"

She was still glad her primary weapon had come along for the ride- not to mention her grappling hook. With North's rifle she had assumed that, much like their armor, it had just been too big for them to put in their lockers. It wasn't a small weapon by any means even if it would have still fit in the locker, she imagined.

Any disappointment he might have felt went unnoticed by Carolina, who simply nodded and followed along as indicated. Her eyes were everywhere, even if she'd already been down this hallway before, but he had her ear. "I think going anywhere we're going to learn something at this point." She pointed out, her mouth curling slightly. As unsettling as this situation was, she couldn't deny she liked the idea of exploring uncharted territory. It was always exciting to see new things.

"Looking around at other posts on the network, I haven't seen anything that would interest us. If people are looking around, they're not saying much." Or they were just more hung up on smaller details. Either was possible.

To say that North was .. disappointed that he had yet to come across his rifle would have been putting it pretty mildly. (Not that he would have let as much slip to the surface of his expression as he glanced once more down the hallway. It was just a weapon, he was sure someone would feel the need to tell him. What that someone wouldn't have known, of course, was that that particular weapon was more of an extension of self than anything else. He felt strange without it. Naked, almost.)

His disappointment at seeing Carolina with her hair tied back melted away just as easily as the other Freelancer had gone without noticing it, and he made a contemplating sound in the back of his throat. He'd checked out the network a bit, himself, and hadn't found much of anything of interest. She was right - if people were finding things out, they certainly weren't sharing the information. He wasn't exactly sure how he felt about that just yet, given the fact that no one was sure about this place on the whole. They were just .. going to have to keep their guards up until some reasonable assumptions could be made, and even then, he didn't enjoy not being completely sure.

It was just something he was going to have to get over and deal with.

"Guess we should start finding things for ourselves, then, hm?" He had to admit, if only to himself - he was a little excited to explore. He did like learning new things, of course, and exploring definitely counted toward that category.

She continued to look around as they walked, wondering what, exactly, they'd be finding on this ship. The technology on board was a little more advanced than what they had at home from what she could tell, but that was about all she could assume without seeing more. Which, of course, was the entire point of their mini expedition into the unknown.

Carolina nodded at his words and let out a small sigh. As excited as she was to look around, it was still a bit of a pain to be in such vastly unknown territory. "What do you think of the crew?" She had to ask, mostly for something to discuss while they looked around. North was usually a reliable person to discuss intel with and getting his opinion on the subject seemed like a good idea. "They seem as confused as we are- do you buy it?"

She wasn't so sure if she did, herself. Mostly she couldn't fathom the idea of a ship pulling people into it of its own will. There was no purpose for a ship to want this many confused people on board. However, that didn't speak well for the theory that they brought people here on purpose. With so many of them unfamiliar with the technology on board...

It just didn't add up either way.

While North hadn't thought much about the technology up until that point, he had to admit that it did look a little more advanced than what they were used to - and what they were used to was far from primitive, all told. To think there were other parts of the galaxy that held more evolved technology than their own, it .. might have set him a little on edge if he thought too much about it. Which, needless to say, he wasn't going to just yet. He had plenty of time to mull it over.

Or, at least, he was pretty sure he did. It didn't exactly seem like they were on borrowed time here, so he was going to assume as much.

He hummed a little in the back of his throat at the question. From what he'd seen of them so far? They seemed .. normal. Normal save for the fact that some of them hadn't exactly been organic before they'd been brought here. (That was something he was still trying to wrap his head around.) But .. they'd seemed nice enough, for the most part. The fact that they all seemed to hold the same level of ignorance when it came to their current situation was a little reassuring, if he was completely honest with himself. Then again? He liked to believe that people generally told the truth.

The idea that there could be some of them that might be withholding information wasn't somewhere beneath the radar, and he hadn't quite gotten a grasp on it yet. "I don't know," was all he said at first, gaze passing over the floor beneath his feet as he stepped forward. "Too early to tell, if you ask me."
