My grades this semester were announced this week, with the last one announced yesterday. I got 2 Bs, 1 A-, and 2 As.

So, my semester is finally over. I'm officially in long holiday and the last year (hopefully) of my study. There is no obligation to come to class anymore, which means I have more free time. Today is the last day of my final exams and 1st semester is officially over. I have to wait until they announce my grades around January 20th. I hope it's not too sucky. Out of 4 subjects that I have this first semester, two of my midterm exam results tanked. Sadly, it wasn't because I didn't really know the answer, but the lecturers apparently wanted a more elaborate and systematical answers that what I wrote on the paper. I wasn't used to doing so. Doing my first task for this semester shows me that (1) I have problem to summarize what I have read in a descriptive and structured manner, and (2) I totally will have to start liking to read text books. I just hope that in the next few weeks, I can improve my ability to write better, in a sense that it follows an academic approach of writing.

So, I had the first 4-days of going back to university (after 10 years!). The number of text books that I must read are slowly starting to overwhelm me. I know I read a lot of books, but they're novels, not text books. And I read them to enjoy them (for the entertainment value) rather than seeing it analytically.
