118. Random McRandompants entry...
My GOSH, I have only slept for 1.5 hours!! I slept at 3 A.M. and woke up again at 4.30 A.M. That is the problem with my body clock. It is so punctual that no matter how late I sleep, I will always wake up between 4.00 A.M. - 5.00 A.M. I usually deal with the lack of sleep by taking a nap later in the day, usually around noon. That is, if on weekends. If on weekdays, I will just have to suck it up. But since I'm planning to go out, I might have drown myself with coffee or Red Bull to keep my eyes open while driving.
This ramble about TV show will be a bit LONG. So I will just put it behind cut
Television Show
Just watched CSI the 200th episode. This show is not the same after William Petersen left and to be honest, Laurence Fishburne lacks Petersen's charisma. I will still watch the show because the cases are what appeal to me, not necessarily the characters (unlike its brother that I also love, CSI: NY) but this week's episode is very weak for a landmark of 200th episode.
On the other hand, I have the latest Supernatural and Bones, which I am sure will be entertaining.
AND ... I decided that I will d/l ER FINAL episode. OMG, I cannot believe that the show finally runs its course after 15 years. To be honest, it is one of the show that I spent my teenager years with (along with Friends and The X-Files). Although I stopped after Julianna Margulies left the show, I did watch episode where she and George Clooney this season. Now, I think I would like to pay a tribute to this 'old friend'.
To be honest, NO medical shows that I watch so far, can gives such down-to-earth medical cases that can break your heart, like this one. Even Grey's Anatomy cannot come close. The beauty of the cases over at Cook County is the fact that they feel like everyday issue, not over the top like the ones at Seattle Grace.
If you have seen this show before, you might remember episode like Love Labour's Lost, which was more heartbreaking than similar case at SGH (the one that gives Derek a breakdown). Or the patient who needed heart transplant but couldn't get it on time (early season 1). Or when Doug Ross saved the kid from a very cold flood (episode Hell and High water). Or when Lucy and Carter got stabbed.
Those feel real. While the doctors at SGH care more about who is hooking up with whom!!
I will go out today and have burger at Mother's Cook. Thanks to an episode of HIMYM, I am craving for burger. I will take Reni with me. Then, I will try to finish my 19th book, Call Me By Your Name. That book is sensually intense!!
PHOTOS!!! Photo (1) and (2) are of my Mom's cat, Kiki. She likes to have someone near her, so she climbed into my bed (while I was typing with my notebook) and slept there.
Photo (3) is the content of book package I bought at Amazon.com. It arrived yesterday. LOOK, it has Jim Butcher's Small Favor!! I miss Harry Dresden SO MUCH!!! After I finished the one I'm reading now, I will surely continue with it.
