Errata for Old Country, plus the Latin text and translation are below the cut -- spoilers for the story, so please read it firstSeriously, these are not even informational spoilers, they would just sort of blow a bit of the fun, so give the cut a miss if you haven't read yet and want to. If you don't plan to, and are either a latin geek or ( Read more... )

Speaking of errata, my youngest spawn pointed out (when I was quoting the fabulous "Slytherin password" scene to anyone who'd listen) that in canon the entrance to the Slytherin common room doesn't have a portrait, just a blank brick wall. I have not checked this myself, but I trust his memory of such things.

:O

Uh, they -- they switched to using a portrait! after a hole got smashed in the wall during the fighting...!

*clings to portrait scene and refuses to fix*

Oh, I totally don't blame you. *g* Obviously I adored that exchange; that's why I was quoting it at anyone who stood still long enough. Just thought it'd be a good idea to give you a heads-up.

Dean Winchester, Baron Taversham

That's never going to get old.

I know a lot of authors don't love it when people ask for sequels, but the 'verse you've created here is so fantastic that I'd love to see so much more in this universe!

oh, I never mind being asked, I just almost never *do* them. *grins* I actually would be all about seeing the ten-years-later sequel where Katie becomes a hunter myself.

Me, I'm hoping someone writes the whole thing from Sam's POV. (Never realized I was a Sam-babe...)

You did a fabulous job showing us what was going on Sam's world here, but damn. I can has more? I would love to see how Sam and Malfoy get on. I loved the look into the Hufflepuff common room, so of course want the Slytherins, too!

And, oh, the intensity of Sam's focus on Dean, all those months... mmmmmm.

So. How do you feel about, uhm, well-intentioned riffs on the universe? It's totally itching in my fingers to write something for this :)

Um. Maybe I missed something else, too? (speakin of errata?) when Dean took the Hufflepuffs to Glasgow (oh, so freaking awesome! a *conference center* Vending machines! (imagine if they went to Japan... *yanks brain back into gear) there was 62 Hufflepuffs. But when they all piled out of the Impala (Hufflepuff to the rescue! *Jinxing* aurors!) there was 72 of them - what happened to the 10 who didn't go to Glasgow...?

^^ Thought I'd mention it since in my last massive babble there *was* something you did change that I had noticed.

(also? Goblins working on a GTO?! I have this vision of RayK hovering worriedly and yelling about his *car* and - *g* It's a very nice thought. Probably not on purpose on your part, but still. *G*)
