Domestic Dooms Day
Party tonight so I've been doing a rather late spring cleaning. (And my frikking tooth broke last nightWith my cat dying in the spring I didn't get two the every 3-month dusting. And everything is damp from the constant rain. Too muggy to close the windows, or to open them. Here's a few things I've done for the partay:
- Dusted off six months of dust from every bookshelf and gewgaw
- wiped off inside plant pots and leaves (hasn't been done in half of forever)
- vacuumed walls of spider webs and their many legged inhabitants
- vacuumed the floor
- made mucho ice cubes
- cut and chopped veggies
- made two dips
- cleaned bathroom and wiped down window and fixtures, with the super shiny cleaning of the tubcleaned all surfaces
- cleaned the kitchen (Gah! It combusted somewhere along the way)
- cleaned the glass on my pictures (ohmigawd where does all that dirt come from?)
wiped out freezer and rearranged in prep for many varying types of booze to be brought in - mostly finished my taxes but now have to wait for one form from 2003 to see if I have a carry forward amount to use
- Hung skeleton and crow mannequin sculpture things on my wall
- Hung a chandelier
- mopped the floor (I now know the difference between mopping [a quick swipe to remove the grottiest bits] to washing [down on hands and knees, ferreting out the corner and crevice grunge]), bathroom and kitchen
- cleaned the den of despair *sob* It has so much in in and so litle room--luckily I cleaned off the computer desk three nights ago.
- cleaned the bedroom, changed the sheets
- showered
- Still to do: chop meats and cheeses, make sangria, put out food.
