Spent Thursday car shopping... I now have a brand new 2010 Ford Focus (my first new car since 1985, btw) and an enormous debt. I could have opted for a used car for only slightly less debt, but with my commute every mile on a car when I buy it is a mile off the life of the thing. Totaled my car on Rte. 1 in West Windsor, NJ this morning. Have no earthly idea what I'm gonna do for another car, surely don't have the money for one.

Got a new ride... a 1999 Hyundai Elantra with 71,000 miles on it. Working air conditioning, AM/FM/CD player, all the usual accoutrement. Automatic transmission, though... that's really weird for me.
