I was in a local branch of WHSmith today when I saw a book called Mockingbird by Kathryn Erskine that looked interesting and picked it up. When I read the blurb, I was stoked to find out that the main character, Caitlin, has Asperger's. I'm a little worried about buying it, though, because I've got no idea if it's any good. I'm reading Create Your Own Economy: The Path to Prosperity in a Disordered World, published in 2009 by Tyler Cowen, an autistic economics professor. Cowen talks a lot, in this book, about the value of the ways that many autistic minds organize information. Question 1: I've come to notice that I actually do have eye contact issues, but only when it comes to men. Is it possible for this to be gender specific?
