Straightforward (I hope) cooking question.
I'm attempting to make corned beef for dinner tomorrow, but I realized the only pot that I have that's big enough for the meat is metal. Can I cook corned beef in a metal pot without affecting the flavor or quality of the finished product?

I don't see why not, but I'm more of a baker than a cooker. If you have a pressure cooker, pressure cooked corn beef is amazing.

I'm having trouble thinking what other material pot you would use. I guess a glass baking dish? But it's very common to cook beef in metal pots and pans.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm used to pots being made of metal, so...?

Well, I'm a dinosaur, so I wouldn't be surprised if everyone else were cooking in some new space age material cookware I've never heard of. Maybe we'll be enlightened!

Metal is fine as long as it isn't aluminum.

I use a metal pot for corned beef all the time, and it always tastes okay.
