The girls are currently dancing/running around the family room saying "ching, ching, ching  . . ." this means they are making a pirate movie. Now, I'm quite certain they don't know enough about what/who pirates are to even know WHY they're saying "ching ching" but that's what Shane & David did when they made their pirate movie, so obviously, that's what pirates do LOL. On the positive note, it means they're getting exercise & they're not screaming at each other, so I guess I'll take it :)

They thought it was GREAT fun to sweep the kitchen floor after I picked up the 5 billion little scraps of paper they'd made w/ their scissors. Since I HATE sweeping & my handy dandy rechargable swiffer vac thing seems to have lost all suction power, I was quite glad to let them do it :)

They also think it's great fun to "surprise" me by cleaning things. Often these are things like taking a cloth & "cleaning " a toy or something that requires that they tell me they did it, for me to know LOL. But yesterday they very proudly took my upstairs & showed me that they'd hung up all their clothes off the gate (I' hang all clothes to dry & since the top of the stairs  gate is right next to the laundry room it works quite nicely to hang the girls' clothes on while they dry.  They also recently "made my bed" which was actually quite helpful since they had, earlier that day, pulled the comforter & top sheet completely off the bed.

This morning while I was hanging up laundry Lexie came out of our bathroom completely naked & asked if she could take Chelle (Shell? her current favorite doll) in the bathtub with her because there was no water in it. I asked why she was naked & she explained that the bathtub was a swimming pool & she was putting her swimsuit on (she then acted out putting on an imaginary swimsuit) and wanted to take Chelle swimming with her . . . sure dear, knock yourself out. They had quite the swim party going on in there for the entire time I was hanging clothes AND while I sorted through a bunch of their old clothes to freecycle a big batch to someone who was looking for girls clothes & lives near me.

I mentioned to the girls that we will need to change our nature table soon because it's spring & not too suprisingly, Ashlyn especially was quite distraught (Lexie wasn't sure she liked the idea either). I finally got them to agree that it would be ok as long as we "save" all the winter stuff for next winter . . . at this rate I'm definitely going to need a bigger nature table by next winter :)

They're still really into the plants we're growing :) I let them each taste their plants today & they were very excited about that, but assured me that it 'tastes different because it's not all growed yet" ummm . . . ok . . . I'll take your word for it. They're also really enjoying keeping an eye on the carrot roots in the watch it grow thing my dad built for us.

And can I just say that for the first day of spring, today is COLD!!!!
