um, well, i'm back, as much as it is possible for me to be! this is a post that I have been waiting and dying to be able to do for a couple of months...yes, i finally have the internet at home on my computer...freedom at last. it really does feel amazing!
In the last month I have only had four days off...I also currently have the cat lounging across half of my computer trying to get my attention. Anyway *g* those four days that I did have off were used to sleep and clean a weeks worth of dirt and dog hair from the house. I swear...last week when my boss asked me what I liked to do with my time off, I nearly laughed in her face...I did manage to contain myself, but I did tell her that I usually slept all day!
The good news (apart from the fact that I'm here and have connection!!! its going to take me a while to get over that!) is that this Easter weekend is my two days off in a row, and hopefully the start of a continueing pattern of weekends off! Those extra days did make me more financially secure, but it wasn't worth the loss of most of my social life in the same period! And I've used the first day well...setting up this internet! Wooooo!
So, this journal is going to go back to a mix of fandom and real life stories as usual. I want to get back into the fandom...its been so long since I've had a really good look at whats been happening...new people, fics, events...they've all flown past me, and I intend to try and reel it all back in. I have good intentions of a lot more writing...I am definatly going to do another fic exchange, because while I did find the last one stressfull, it made me write, and in the end that was so rewarding. I'm halfway through a drabble for the AWDT, and working hard to get it finished for tomorrow.
Oh yes, and its Easter! How very exciting! I'm heading into Brighton to have a late breakfast with all the girls from work, before they have to go off to work, and I continue to enjoy my second day off! I was in such a great mood today when I wandered around town, even though it was pouring down with rain and there were so many people in the center of Brighton I could hardly move!
Oh, and lastly, a quick sqee about the new Dr Who... yummmm! I know it is totally geeky (not that I think anyone from this fandom can say a thing!) but I love it to bits, and my my, David Tennent is wonderful as the new Doctor. Can't wait to see more! I've been excited about it all week, so tonight has been wonderful!
And to my two main friends on here, Mere and De... I don't know what to say...I doubt you missed me, what with all your amazing friends and everything, but I will be around again and commenting... I hope you are both very very well!
