Lulu is a snugglemush and likes to climb up on me when I am at my desk or reading in my reading chair.
My tomatoe plants will hopefully start to yield some ripeness by next week. There are a few green ones on each plant but they are not yet ready for picking.
My mouth is starting to water because I am obsessed and addicted to tomatoes (good ones, of course).
Three batches of refreshing summer drinks are being brewed right now on the back patio for icing: Black Tea infused with organc peach slices, Lapson Souchon black tea (to have mint ice cubes to ice it later) and Fresh Lemon Ginger Brew. I can't wait. I have been parched all day despite my gallons of lemon water.
Serenity in Charlotte was great yesterday. Fun was had with great people and the drive there and back was actually fine despite the fact that I may need air in my tires, though today
packgrog checked them today and said they were fine. The time flew by each way thanks to some great conversation :) My only regret is that I only took one picture and did not buy a raffle for the Browncoat. (I find out now "A" totally would have worn it! MEH!)
It was really great to meet
eldritchhobbit and it was great to spend some quality time with
estellye who are both fantastic people and I am fortunate enough to have in my life.
"A" and I went to Cafe' Harmony today and feasted. Their food is so good there. I am so glad there are more restaunrants popping up that have abundant veggie/organic meal options.
I am making lasagna tonight with sauce of two three types of tomatoes (four Roma, four Vine-Ripened, two Beefsteak) from scratch (I blanche & peel them, then hand-squish them when they have cooled), homemade fresh basil (from garden) for basil/garlic pesto infused ricotta, and three types of cheese. (bad vegan, no tofu for you!)
My Last Batch, Thanksgiving 2009:
More Later!
