I accidentally bought Gabietou cheese at Whole Foods last night. OOOOPS!

I bought it last night to go with the balsamic blood orange glaze I bought for the portabellas for dinner tonight (recipe to follow) and stumbled into the cheese section. Anyone who knows me knows that as a vegetarian I lived off cheese, but now as a vegan I still have it sometimes. I guess this weekend is one of those times.
Gabietou is a French, semi-soft ripe cheese that tastes like a cross between brie and machenga (which is a Spanish cheese which is also amazing).
So this morning I wanted to try out the new balsamic vinegar we bought (not the glaze, but the actual vinegar), so I broke off a piece of baguette and dipped. It was TASTY! The vinegar was really delicious and I could taste the difference from the other one we just finished.
Then I had the bright idea of cutting a small piece of the beatuiful stinky cheese and having it on a piece of toasted baguette.
It was so good I almost cried.
When I was in France, every morning I had a piece of baguette or croissant and a semi-soft or soft cheese, coffee and sometimes hot chocolate (which is the traditional breakfast in France, apparently..)
It made me think of the patissierie I ate at while people-watching in this beautiful city.
And then I thought of the movie Amelie. I really need to watch that again.
