Writing 'Repaired' .. Finally

Nov 10, 2008 12:09

Finally got the writing block between my brain and my fingers repaired. Managed to get the first chapter of the MAR story I'd been thinking about written up and posted on FFN, so now, I turn to my backlogs of TV episodes to review.

I'm gonna start with the Stargate Atlantis episodes, they've been waiting the longest and, despite what the commercials say about the season, it's been lacking in plot more than usual recently, so they should be the easiest to deal with starting off. Also, there's the most of them on the machine, so I want to get them cleared off before the machine starts picking them off itself.

Anyway, the first episode to get back on track, was Ronin's one. Sadly it was a semi-contrived story with some interesting plots that haven't been followed up on yet. A runner shows up and kidnaps Keller (the team's medical doctor), forcing her to travel most of the episode before revealing he needed her help to care for a girl he'd saved from a culling.

Eventually she gets through to him that they don't have to be enemies and he lets her help him, disabling the Wraith tracking device in a rather contrived manner, and then they meet up with the rest of the team for this episode, McCay and Ronin and getting everyone to work together to save the girl, and get everyone home to Atlantis in the end. The new runner dissapeared in an attempt to let the others get safely away, so the Atlantis team didn't get anyone new added to the list, but apparently they're still looking for him (yay?).

At the same time, it did progress the Keller/McCay romance storyline, possibly turning it into a 'love triangle' between those two and Ronin. Keller has expressed intrest in both of them, but we don't really know if she's interested in either of them in a romantic sense or not, and Ronin and McCay have both decided not to let the possible romantic relationship between either of them and her get in the way of their working together on the team.

Since it's been a while since that was brought up, I've been hoping they would continue with the line, but nothing yet.

Anyways, that's all for this one wordier than I expected it to be.. hopefully another two or three before I go to get the father-figure from work, so probably at least one more post today, and most likely another few tomorrow depending. Maybe I'll be back on a weekly schedule for Atlantis after this week and I'll get back to posting a weekly 'review' column with all three of the shows I watch on a weekly basis before they stack up again.
