Story-Dream

Wanted to get this down before I forgot even more of it.

I know, I still have reviews to make that I haven't gotten to.. the shows are still taking up room on the box, I'm actually getting a little worried that we're going to start running out of room on that soon, hopefully I'll clear up some of that in another entry later today. But I wanted to write about the dream I had last night/this morning.

All indications was that it was back in the 'other universe' (see previous entries), I'd seen parts of the FR 'saga', the after 'refugee camp' saga, this time I think it was the start of the story, or at least of my story in that world.

It started off kinda oddly.. for some reason I'd been asleep for 3 years (I didn't just pick an arbitrary number there, it was actually said a few times) and had lost my memory somehow. In the start, I was rescued by a man, who's name I don't remember now. I don't know why I wasn't found before, but that was where the 'dream' started. The only reason we could figure out my name was because we found my DL and bank card, all the rest of my memories were gone.

Anyway, for some reason, he left me alone for some reason (I think he was bringing supplies from somewhere else) and people who looked dangerous came in, and I left, fighting my way out of their grasp (so they knew about me from that encounter) and I never saw him again. I figure he was either captured or something, either way, I never saw him again.

While I was moving, looking for someplace to go, I saw someone, lying in the road (there were no vehicles around, I guess I'd been out long enough that people had adjusted to not driving anywhere, or there was no place to get fuel or something like that *shrug*), but without a place to go myself, I figured I couldn't render any assistance to them anyway and passed them by.. this time.

Eventually I came across a group who took me in, run by a bully. I fought with him, through words and defensive actions and somehow won, winning over the loyalty of the group under him, and so I became the de-facto leader. For a while, everything seemed to run fine, we even recruited some others, sometimes through force (someone tried to threaten us with a gun, and I stood up to them until they calmed down, and joined our little group, and sometimes just through words (the bount from Bleach with the doll Dalk [can't remember his name right now] joined us amusingly enough.) We had a good setup, we kept ourselves safe and in relitively good condition considering the oppressive religion-government.

Our 'base' seemed to be a school (for some reason I think it was an elementary school somehow) lots of corridors and rooms branching off. The majority of citizens had been taken away, so we were pretty much alone in the world, hiding from the patrols that came through occasionally.

On one of our supply runs, I happened to see the person in the road again. Not knowing what she was still doing out there, I wanted to go see if she was alright, but I was carrying supplies at the time, so I figured I'd come back to the place and check on her again after the resupply. But when a 'security' van pulled up to her and someone got out, I decided something needed to be done immediately.

This scene played out a couple of times, so I remember it more clearly, I think this was about the time that it became a 'waking dream' as well. I strode up and blocked the 'van' from taking her, and the guy who'd gotten out pulled a gun and told me to back away, which I didn't do. Walked right up to him, took hold of the gun barrel and turned it so it wasn't pointed at anyone (which should have been unlikely at the least, in either 'world' I'm not the strength type of person in any way) and said to his face 'no'.

The Dalk-Bount came up to me then and asked if I needed help and I told him to take the woman back to our 'camp' while I kept the 'security' occupied. The most frightening part of the whole thing was that, even while I was walking away, once the Bount guy had gotten safely away with his 'change in cargo', I was acting completely calmly. I could have been shot in the back easily, but that idea evidentially didn't bother me any.

Anyway, when I returned to 'camp', I was speaking to the woman we'd rescued and found she was in a similar situation to mine (asleep for a length of time, didn't know what was going on, no memories, etc [Nanashi complex my muse likes to term it heh]) so she was welcomed into the group and things continued on. I'm not sure how, but at least externally I recognized her as Candyland, I hope she doesn't mind having played the 'damsel in distress' part in there. After that things started to play a bit more seriously, and I backpedaled ('Wait, wait, I don't want to go there' I was telling my mind >.<)

About that time was when my alarm went off, so the story stops there.. hopefully it'll continue and I'll get to see how I get from leading this group (and it's people) to the FR 'resistance' tonight. But that, and feeling good about writing, I think the walls between my writing fingers and the artistic side of my brain has come down, so I'll hopefully get some good writing done today and tomorrow.

I have two other long pieces I want to at least get started on, as well as filling out the 'dream/alternate world' pieces above and in other entries along with other assorted one-shot pieces.

One of the long pieces is based on MAR.. in the starting Ginta and Snow (and Meriro) spend 6 months together in the training gate, and we get hints of what happens, both 'during' and after, but I want to see about filling in more of the story. I have a few ideas for events, mostly things hinted at by the anime, and a few events that aren't so indicated, but when you spend six months, they're bound to happen at least once, but I'm plenty open to other suggestions. It is a large chunk of time.

A second is working on Jamie's tale, which is kinda a sidestory to the 'dream', which is the first part of her story, while the second part is being played out on Divvy. Taking suggestions for events to happen for that as well, though those would be harder to suggest considering only the start of the 'middle chapters' have even been posted anywhere, and that's only on Divvy.

I also have the rest of Arcion's quest to finish up on Divvy (before he takes a break and my focus there goes to developing Jamie's story) and pages of notes that I want to turn into short one-shot stories. Also have a bunch of song-themed AMW's I want to write.

So much writing to do.. ok, first things first though, shower, and then hopefully I'll be able to sit down and write without being distracted by the game that's been taking up all my free time lately heh

PS: In case I don't post again before then, hope everyone remembers to vote tomorrow.
