Wishing Everyone A Happy New Year
2008 felt as if it came and went by in a flash. (Sure sign that I'm getting older...lol!) More good things than bad things, so that's a good year in my book.
Just wanted to wish everyone a safe and happy New Year's Eve and a great 2009!
Got started on what will most likely be the last doodle of 2008 for me today. It's going to be a serious one of Mugen, which I haven't done in months. After picking laurabryannan's brain a little bit as to how Mugen would look in 20 years in her BaU epilogue, I was given the general idea of "suit or any other modern clothes (though naked in epilogue), 'sinfully grey-less' hair (lol), and grungey beard (she was kind enough to send me a pic link)", which finally gave me a mental image of older Mugen that I could go after on paper. XD It's always a good sign when a put a paper down in front of me and I can sort of trace the imaginary figure on it right away. Things usually go much quicker. This has been one of those. :D
The work in progress at very messy pencil sketch stage. I'll blame my scanner for not being able to pick up my very light pencil rendering. I had to adjust for fade, and now it picks up all the dirt and stray lines. Oh yeah, the grungey beard will be added there more prominently later and the hair, of course, will be sinfully grey-less. :D
Then I inked the pencil drawing and I'm losing all confidence... hahaha. Story of my life. Let's hope coloring would save this picture somehow...lol.
