Bear (my name for Dave) is still oh so sad, and trying to deal with the daughter/grandson situation. We have decided to make a quilt for our grandbaby and have his name embroidered on the top. It will be beautiful, and probably will be in Classic Pooh fabric, which we both love.
My aide didn't come in today, and this week her schedule has changed from 5 days a week (4 hrs a day) to three, and so we lost another one today. I appreciate her help so much, as Bear has a hard time doing housework due to his arthritis (and lack of motivation!), too. She helps me get up and going in the morning, as mornings are the hardest time for me due to Fibromyalgia. She helps me get in and out of the shower as well as helps me with dressing (what I can't do myself). Sasha also didn't come in today (she works with Emmie) because she seems to have the symptoms of flu and conjunctivitis (pink eye). Yuck!
Bear got my son's quilt done today -- at last. I have been working on that top for about a year, off and on. Bear got the quilting done -- it is a fairly difficult pattern for him. It reminds me of stained glass or leaded glass windows. I'll put a picture of it up soon. It is called "Day and Night" and is yellow and blue. VERY bright -- much brighter than I'd intended. I've just got to sew the binding to the front of the quilt and handstitch it to the back and it will be done. Aaron, my son, will be here with his girlfriend next week, so I can give it to him then. I haven't seen him in 5 years (thought it had been 4, but recalculated). I've never met his girlfriend, and they've been together at least 4 years.
I've been working on the Sea quilt, and nearly have it done. Only 6 more rows to go. Then Bear will quilt it for me and we'll hang it on the wall.
No wildlife today -- no deer, no more pigs... just the three of us knocking around the house today. Emmie did a good job with her chores today. She really is such a help when she is in cleaning mode.
Remember, if you leave a comment (hope you do!) and aren't on live journal, do put your name in the body of the message so I know you were here.
Be safe...
