Will it never end?
The rains just keep coming! Today, it hasn't yet rained but it sure looks like it is headed that way. This is really sad because we are hiring Ellen's son, Cody, to come weed-eat our yard. It is difficult to do, so weed-eating it is the easiest thing. Everything is pretty much on a slant. It is knee high now, so we desperately need it to NOT rain today.
I have good news to report! Despite having a nasty looking productive cough, my blood sugars have gone DOWN. In fact, last night I had a really dangerous LOW blood sugar event around 3:00 AM. Though it was scary and dangerous (One of my medications masks the symptoms of low blood sugar until they are really low, so it is dangerous), it was nice to have low blood sugar instead of high.
This morning it was back up to 190, but I'm sure it is because of the many glucose tablets (and milk and a cookie) I had to eat to get it back up. I'll see how it is at lunch. I am not having to take as much insulin as I was, either, and that is EXCELLENT since taking a lot of insulin adds weight. When I started taking insulin years ago, I gained 70 lbs in about 3 months or so.
Am having another medical problem...sigh... which could be a potentially bad problem. I have to meet with the gynecologist on Monday. I called the nurse, told her what was going on (I've been past menopause for a couple of years now) and she talked to the doc, and he wants to see me right away.
I feel like an old jalopy (anyone remember that word?) of a car that is falling apart. A fender falls off, then the door, and a headlight pops out, then the engine starts chugging....
