Hmm, broke the mellow...

Went on a ride today with some friends, one of which is new to riding (1 week experience, had to go pick her up and escort her to the ride due to lack of freeway experience). Met up with some other buddies along the way, but one felt the need to pull a wheelie next to the noobie rider. Lucky for him, a truck got between the lot of us so I couldn't get to him right away. When I finally did though, I really upset him because I tore him a new asshole for pulling a wheelie near such an inexperienced rider and he ended up ditching the group and splitting through traffic ahead of us before splitting off. He was lucky I didn't pull him off his bike, because that's absolutely not tolerated.

Ended up calming down and writing him an explanation and apology (for being hot-headed, not for calling him out on a bullshit move), but that was after a few hours of pizza and playing pool. Gave me time to think. But, why do young guys have to be so fucking stupid? Guy in question is barely 19, his "role model" is only 22, and they both act 16. Arg. But, episode over, back to the mellow.

Edit: He actually responded, which was a delightful surprise. Completely owned up to his mistake and apologized to both me and the noob rider. I'm impressed. Now if only I can break him of thinking Ruff Ryderz are cool. LOL
