Getting things done
Okay, so I got my application for certification in mail, signed the parts I needed to sign, and then physically WENT to the OFFICE to submit it. Since the office in question is literally a block away from My Sweetie's place of employ, I got a ride into the city with him in the morning, did my business downtown, and then got the train to my parents' house for some quality time. So, the application is in, but according to the woman I talked to the University hasn't gotten around to telling Alberta Education who finished their programs at Christmas, so I'm back in "wait" portion of the hurry-up-and-wait cycle that is life.
In the meantime, I've reclaimed a few more of my cookbooks from Mom and Dad's house, and I have plans for dinner for the next three nights in a row! What? This is a big deal for me, okay! Tonight, I'm having a choirmate over before we carpool to rehearsal, and I'm making stirfry! For tomorrow, there is an eye of round roast thawing in the fridge. And for Friday, it's Harry Potter meeting night, so I plan on doing some sort of pasta, whether it's a spaghetti and sauce, or a baked macaroni-type thing, that can feed lots.
Right now, I'm running the dishwasher, and very slowly starting to unpack the back bedroom, which is sort of the dump-and-run room for the main floor. Although I'm still limited in how much I can actually deal with due to a lack of bookshelves, at least I can shift some of the boxes of books from there into the basement, which will allow me to get at some things that I *can* deal with right now. And also, I really want to find the rest of my cookbooks!
