A friend and I are working on starting a wizard rock band. I've set up a myspace for the band at
http://www.myspace.com/erisedstraeh although there's not much there yet.
I finished my degree just before Christmas, but I'm still waiting on my teaching certification, so not doing very much at this point. I did have a job interview earlier this week, for a French immersion position, covering a maternity leave, but I'm honestly kind of hoping I don't get it at this point. I think that would be a terrifying way to start considering how rusty my French is, and that I've never taught unsupervised before. I think regular subbing would be a better choice.
Sadly, my husband is starting to resent the fact that I'm not working yet. Now, I know that there have been exceptions made in the school district in which I would like to work, whereby people who have just finished their ed program but not yet received their certification have been allowed to start subbing, but as I understand it that's technically illegal, so I'd really feel more comfortable just waiting until I have the certificate in hand before I apply.
