Friday evening, excited
Happiness is: knowing that camp starts on Monday.
Happiness isn't: having to go pick up your brother from a trip he took with his school to a waterpark, and realizing he has a friend with him.
On the good side of today, the day was generally good, and when I went shopping with my mom at Fairway (like no other market!) I was able to find Marshmallow Iced Devil's Food Cake which is the best Entemanns cake ever for tomorrow. And the rest of today was good. Nothing particularly special happened, but it was my last day of sane-ness until camp ends, so it was alright.
On the not-so-good side of today, after going shopping at Fairway (like no other market!) I had to go with my mom to pick up my brother from school. Well, not exactly school, what happens is that his school is a private school so it ends two weeks earlier than public schools, so for those two weeks they have an optional thing called Camp Marmac where the kids just go and do stuff. Anywho, today they had this trip to a water park in New Jersey, and they came back at 8 today. So we have to go pick them up from his school. In Brooklyn. With heavy traffic. Which means I was stuck in a small, rented car for an hour and a half with two ADHD kids, and their medication was wearing off. Well, really just Jeffery's, his friend was alright, maybe that's because she's a girl, but Jeffery was just incredibly annoying. I know he can't help it and all, but it's hard to think of that when he's pulling on your seat belt, alternately trying to choke you, and make it so loose that it's pointless having it on anyway. It's not that bad though. After 10 years, I'm kind of used to him by now...
