Winter break at home
So I get to go back to Syracuse in a little more than 24 hours. Tomorrow I get to go to the liquor store then to work form 2-10 and I personally cannot wait to wake up on Friday, get Andrea, meet Szklany and just drive to SU. First off.. this was my break.
I got home on a Friday and just went to bed then went to Kaitlin's show later that weekend, it was the same old Snow Queen except I didn't like it as much as last year because the sun flower was recast and he wasn't as good so it was less enjoyable. I began working at 1886 again which was ok, it was money that I desparatly needed. However, I still hate the job and I'm swearing right now that I'm not going back no matter what this time. I'm actually having Mike make a torch out of my shirt when we get back to school.
Christmas was good. I got a nice jacket that I wear instead of my sweatshirt now and dress shirts that I needed so I don't wear the same three things over and over. Gift cards and cash, it's the normal 20 year old present scheme. I had to work Christmas Eve.. that sucked so much. Then it came to New Years and I wish I was in Syracuse with everyone, but I had to work the next day and I did have Kate's party to go to... with special punch made by Patty. James and Lauren couldn't come, but it's ok, they have lives too and plans so whatever, it wasn't a big deal. What was a big deal was working the next day at 7 am.
Three days were spent in Syracuse for the PItt game. Szklany came and picked me up then we went to Westborough to get Greg and Alicia and... got a flat tire. So we had lunch in Westborough, got back on the road and got to SU around 5. Greg Alex and I went to Chuck E Cheese for dinner. The night was spent drinking at 829 then the next day it was Hooters for lunch and the Pitt game which we lost but more drinking next door at 137. The enxt day Szklany and I drove back and it was all good.
Then I turned 21 when we got back and went to Applebees with the gang and got carded which was fun. I'm looking forward to Sunday when I do my 21 shots (if you're 21 and will be in Syracuse, come to Faegans) It was pretty fun drinking with people from home... I really never thought it would happen.
Overall this break was good. I realized something though, I really don't belong at home. I didn't enjoy it. I like my freedom when I'm school and being able to see people all the time to do whatever we want. It's not that I don't love my family, it's just my brother is selfish, my dad is pushy, and my mom is irritating. It's not that I don't like my friends either, I just don't see them at all. At school I see my friends everyday. This may be my last extended time period in Massachusetts because it doesn't look like I'll have any time during the semester and I may be doing research over the summer and then school starts again for my senior year. It makes me like whats coming up.
