Contrary to what you might have heard (from me), the sun doesn't shine all the time in Glasgow.

Although the rain stayed off today, the sky was pregnant with precipitation.  But you know me: a few clouds won't stop me thrusting my lens on an unsuspecting city.

Its span is only 65 metres, but for a little bridge it packs a big punch.  Built in 1855, the St Andrew's Suspension Bridge is still carrying pedestrians from one side of the River Clyde to the other.  It may not have the pulling power of the Golden Gate or the might of the Brooklyn Bridge, but our littlest bridge has charms all of its own.

The official name for Glasgow's newest landmark is the Tradeston Bridge. But even before the paint was dry, the press had re-christened the double-curved structure "the squiggly bridge."

The James Joyce Bridge is one of the latest additions to the Dublin landscape. With its soaring arches and sweeping curves, you might think it was the work of the Spanish starchitect, Santiago Calatrava.
And you'd be right.
