A Fishy Tale

Your keen senses will tell you this is a lampost. What you may not know is that it incorporates the various elements that make up Glasgow's coat of arms: the tree, the bell, the bird and the fish. The full story is here.

It's especially appropriate that there's a fish there because Glaswegians have a great love of them: particularly coated in bread and deep fried. It's just fortunate that the coat of arms was devised before the advent of the deep fried Mars Bar.
