Lenae - 4 month checkup
Lenae had her 4 month checkup yesterday (it always ends up much later than the 13th).
Weight: 13 lbs, 6 oz (up from 10lbs 8oz at 2 months) - 50th percentile
Height: 25 3/4 inches (up from 23 3/4 inches at 2 months) - 90th percentile
Head circumference: 16 1/4 inches (up from 15 inches).
Dr. J says she is on track developmentally and hitting her milestones in an expected fashion. She was a chatty, happy gal for her exam, until she got the two vaccination shots (DTaP and Hib). She cried, soothed easily when I picked her up, then saw the nurse over my shoulder and *screamed* at her. Lil gal has a temper, let me tell you.
She's been prescribed Axid for her reflux since it's been getting worse lately. Dr. J thinks that her supplemental formula is a trigger for the reflux (like citrus or spicy foods can be for an adult) and that it's going to happen no matter what brand/type we use. We're starting out with Axid and if she continues to have problems with heartburn we may try something like kiddie Mylanta. She's nursing every 2 hours all night long still, probably due to heartburn.
She rolled over stomach-to-back for the first time last Thursday (August 16th), but Bear wasn't 100% sure since she had just woken from a nap. Friday, she rolled and rolled and has been loving the talent ever since. She's getting pretty good with head control and loves to sit in someone's lap and look around.
