Bear drove all the way out to the OB's office in NLR to pick up my lab slip that I need for the 3-hour test, since they test at a lab for the longer one. When he opened the envelope last night (clearly labeled with Stephanie Smith), we had a nice long laugh, and now he has to make another trip to NLR to return that poor gal's return to work letter and get MY lab slip. I told him that he'd better tell them that as well as this pregnancy is going, I do not want my due date changed to 9-1-07! It's not the first time I've gotten the wrong set of paperwork (medical or otherwise) because of a super common first name and last name, so I won't blame 'em too much. What are the odds that two ladies with the same name need to pick up letters on the same day?
I can't take my test until next Wednesday. We are in the height of our crazy season so I had to call around to try to find someone to come in and cover phones for the morning while the other folks are out of the ofice (I'm alone mornings, sometimes afternoons if things get really crazy). The legal secretary upstairs mentioned her daughter-in-law might be available, so she's covering for me and relaying messages.
We went to Wally World last night for groceries, and the boys had a field day researching iron content in foods. They are rather perturbed at how two different brands of the same vegetable can have different iron content. We are guessing something about how they prepare it for canning.
I did break down and get a bottle of iron supplements, just in case, and took one last night. This morning, I started in on my first migraine since last August, and my breakfast didn't stay put. *sighs* I have always been on the anemic end of things and when I wanted to donate blood, I'd take iron tablets 2-3 days prior to get my count high enough to donate, without overloading my system with it and causing problems with my IBS. Was hoping to take the supplements on days I couldn't/didn't get enough food-based iron, but that may not be the best of ideas.
