Sent home from doc with bag of antibiotics and instructions to avoid exposing Mum to nasty respiratory stuff. So. Lots of lovely gardening time but no breath to do it with, lots of available-to-Mum time but I can't go there. Fiiiine.

Done far too much tidying up just to have something to do. On the plus side:

Dad has himself raised the possibility of going into detox. He's seeing the local doc tomorrow, and taking my sister in with him (so she'll make sure the conversation doesn't get derailed, I hope).

Regrouted shower this afternoon; yay me :) Well, as long as it doesn't melt and fall apart tomorrow morning, eh.

Can't remember whether I mentioned here about having knocked a hole in our hall wall a month or so before going away - put the bike down a little too forcefully in a fit of after-work temper and whoops: lovely big hole the size of a handlebar end.
