Dog days
Having quit the job that took most of my time has been very interesting. Having so much more free time is exciting. I've been fussing my house together, playing with my animals and reading a lot.
Yesterday I took Layla to the park and she swam a bunch, then we went on a short hike. Then we went and hung out with TBS at another park. She is so sweet to be around.
Cosmo is molting so he want more scritches but is fussy about them, too. It's like his period. He gets needy and annoyed at you simultaneously.
I've read about four books in the past week. It is such a pleasure. I've been out with TBS karaokeing twice and had a blast! She is a lot of fun and there is dancing to be had. I've been dancing a lot recently. I finally feel like dancing again. I've been out about three times a week dancing and I can see then change in my abs already. I've been very good with my not drinking excessively. Being a sober driver helps a lot but I'm not bitter about having to drive either. I can have one beer at the bar and 4 hours later drive my schwilly friends home safely. I've not been drinking much at home alone either. Or at Wed night dinners.
It's nice to be in control again. Oh, and I love my pets.
